Microsoft has announced that the Killer Instinct Trademark is once again secure in its hands. We call that an awesome combo!
The firm made the announcement on its Play XBLA Blog, saying:
With all due respect to our friends in the media who like to frequent trademark sites, we thought we’d break this one ourselves.
No other information was divulged, apart from the trademark being reestablished, however this could be the precursor to upcoming news Microsoft will be sharing.
Our legal eagles have authorized us to say: ‘We have either renewed or refiled a trademark application in various jurisdictions.’ That’s it.
Why is Microsoft revealing this now? That’s beyond us to answer. It was not too long ago that former Rare employees said Redmond blocked them from making a new Killer Instinct game.
