Ever since Skyrim patch 1.04 went live, some gamers have said it’s really made the game better, however some still remain disgruntled as the bugs still persist. If you’re part of the latter group, Bethesda has a solution for you.
It’s a two-step dance, and if followed correctly, all you Skyrim issues will be no more.
“The 1.4 patch for Skyrim includes many performance-enhancing updates for the PlayStation 3. A few important things to note:
1. To ensure the fastest jump in performance after applying the patch, be sure to first create a new manual save by entering the save menu and choosing “save game.” You should then restart your PlayStation 3 before continuing to play.
2. If you encounter strange behaviour while playing immediately following application of the patch, do not be alarmed – this is a temporary effect of Skyrim scripts correcting themselves after the update. Once this process runs its course, be sure to make a new save and restart your PlayStation 3.”
If you’re still experience problems after trying out these steps, head over to the game’s official forums and tell the developer about it.

In 2 minds about getting this game
Still didnt work. And now I cant even finish the main questline because Odahviing wont take any damage nor can I trap him….so yeah stuck! I’m furious…110hrs for nothing
Wow, this is such rubbish. I’m definitely not buying it, then.
I have to say that this level of difficulty to play is very surprising. When I finished the game I had less hours, but none of those things happened. I don’t know if you tried it, benzo, but if I were you and had a save file that is working, I would try to pick up from there and play all the way to the end.

I wonder if your files got corrupted, Benzo?
