I have tons of games. Think of a genre and I’ll name a title that’s collecting dust in my library. I’m ashamed to say this but, like so many others, I mostly play first-person shooters. It’s like my patience for RPGs, Sports and even racing games have worn out. Well that’s a crying shame, and for a change, I’ll play Reckoning and something else in the coming days. It’s the weekend, Games Thirst, anyone else suffers the same dilemma?
Like I said, I’ll try to put away Battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare 3 and jump into Kingdoms Of Amalur: Reckoning – I’d do Skyrim but the reports aren’t positive. I’m not going to play Uncharted or any other third-person shooter either, because they’re, well, shooters! Other than that, I’ll try and take it easy this weekend by staying in most of the time.
What about you guys, it’s been a while since you’ve shared what’s happening in your world. We want to know! Have a blessed weekend, everyone. I mean that.

I will be playing Gotham City Impostors all weekend. I love that game. It is a mix between TF2 and CoD. I will play some Mass Effect 2 as well, and probably some NCAA Football 12.
I wanna play Arkham City and Skyrim. I`m also trying to find some fun psn game, but haven`t found anything brilliant. I keep looking for it, I know it`s there. I might get Darksiders and I have been thinking about trying Gotham City Impostors. It is a shot in the dark for me. Guess I`ll download the demo if there is one. Ernice, If I were you, I would try Skyrim. It is a fun game if you like exploring, looting and developing skills. Combat is not Demon`s souls like, but it is fun in it own right. I played the Reckoning demo and I didn`t like the gameplay, the game atmosphere etc. Bethesda has its flaws, but they know how to suck me into the game. Even when the story is not fantastic. Somehow, the gameplay and the sense of adventure that it creates prevails.
@Paul, get your profile pic fixed through here: http://www.gamesthirst.com/2012/01/30/get-a-gravatar/ -
@Josh: So Gotham Imposters is really something, eh? Tell me more – I’m intrigued.
@Paul: Thanks for the advice. I’ve been meaning to start Skyrim, but GT users like Benzo and others tell me the darn game is broken – even after patch 1.04.
Knowing this, should I still give it a go?
Hehe. I understand. Well, the best I can do is share with you my experience with the game on the ps3. Right now, I have played it for 60 hours and I am on level 25. I`m really taking my time, not rushing through anything and trully enjoying many aspects of the game. Even though I have my compaints, I can`t regret having bought it. It sucked me in and this is what I expect a game to do. Some bugs may upset a little, but they did not spoil my experiece. Now, about the bugs: the most annoying was a little bit of lag in a few moments during gameplay and it was getting even worse – making me a little mad – just before I got the 1.04 patch. As I said before, I have played the game after the patch and it felt more fluid, less laggy, but I need to test it for a longer game session. Bottom line is: there were bugs and lags, yes, but they did not ruin the party. I was able to play 60 hours and finish the main storyline without the 1.04 patch. Oh, I have had one freeze. Also, I switched off the autosave. There were reports that autosaves were bad. I think I read it here first! Btw, I bought the game after reading here how to deal with the bugs on the ps3. : )
I love Gotham City Impostors. It is a hard game to explain, and is better to just play. Download the demo and give it a try. It is an online demo that allows to play for 60min. online.
@Paul: Nice! Happy to know we helped! What will you be playing this weekend?
@Josh: Cool, I’ll download the demo tonight.
im the complete opposite, my favourite genre use to be shooters but weve had so many of them the past few years im totally sick of them!
everyone loves ice cream, but having it for breaky lunch and tea for 5 years straight is going to turn you off it for a while.
my nan finally got a new pup earlier in the week so ive spent most of the weekend there cleaning the place out.
hes only 8 weeks old so cute, only bad thing about owning pups is they chew EVERYTHING!
was so funny last night we were eating dinner and we could hear something downstairs in the laundry running around, so we went down and there he was taking the laundry off the line for us.
poor gran needs to get a new door, stupid thing chew his way through the mesh and jumped through.
even managed to find her old necklace she thought was lost.
amazing how they manage to get into nooks and crannies you never realise you had!
Troublesome little poppy, there. You guys seems to be enjoying him, though. Awesome stuff – enjoy the weekend, Games Thirst legend!
yea we are.
i feel sorry for the poor cat, she had the whole backyard to herself and now shes been locked out the front because of the dog.
just finished the darkness 2 last night i enjoyed it, first one was better but it was still pretty good.
just needs to be longer, im getting sick of this 6 hour BS!
