Battlefield 3 Patch 1.03 Actually Fixed PS3 Voice Over IP Problems

Some thought this would never happen. In fact, even EA said the voice chat problem the PS3 version of Battlefield 3 suffered was caused by PS3 itself, and not their (DICE) coders. Well, turns out DICE really messed up BF3 PS3, but the dev has redeemed itself. It’s true: patch 1.03 actually fixed the VOIP issues! Hooray!

Okay, let’s calm down now. I decided to test out voice chat with some friends throughout yesterday, and everything worked super. No lag, no breakups, no “I can’t hear you”, or “you’re constantly breaking up” replies. The thing worked fluent last night.

Also, it seems as if the patch deployed yesterday was solely for the voice chat fix, as it only weighed 11 MB, contrary to what DICE promised. So the patch to fix lag, and other annoyances will be released at a later date, hopefully sooner rather than later.

Gamers have been asking for a few things.

But yeah, if you left Battlefield 3 because of voice chat issues, now’s the time to comeback… at least to check it out.

After downloading and installing the update, it crashed my PS3 on the battlefield load up screen!

It crashed, I reset it. It crashed I reset it, It crashed I reset it. In the end I deleted the battlefield 3 file from my Game Data Utility, reinstalled the game to my HDD and redownloaded the patch.

I played it yesterday too with my friends, we were a full squad, and there was absolutely no problem whatsoever. I am really happy about that.

we had the same result last night too, me and mt friend can normally hear each other, but when anyone else joins it was normally broken speech and interference, but Ernice i could hear you loud and clear last night bro!

Yesir! It was amazing. They’ve actually really fixed it. Cheers to them for that! Gaming was fun last night. Remember when I got lost running to nowhere, haha. And at a bad time, too. LOL
