Battlefield 3 was pulled from Steam some time back, as EA tried hard to make its own online service, Origin, the premier location for all games. The debacle was really messy, and gamers gave up on purchasing the game through Valve’s respected service. Yet things have change as of recent, and according to a rumor circulating the internet, it seems the two firms are trying hard to broker a deal.
The rumor ostensibly came from someone inside Valve, claiming if everything goes well, Battlefield 3 will be available on Steam before the game sees its release October 25th.
The big contention and main reason the game was reportedly pulled from Steam was DLC sales differences, however the two firms are said to be ironing out a deal as we speak.

I liked how Sony let steam onto the PS3 with Portal 2. I didn’t use it but thought it was a pretty cool thing to do unlike XBOX 3rd reich60.
Yeah. Wouldn’t it be amazing, though, to have PS3 and PC gamers duke it out in games like BF3 and MW3 via Steam? Mental stuff just thinking about it.

EA are forcing people to use origin that way its much easier to track them and watch what they are doing that way if any bad apples try to hack things it will be much easier to track them down and annihilate them!
