They’re Here: Crysis 2 Reviews Are Here – The Full Quencher

Well the review embargo for Crysis 2 has finally lifted, and looking at most of the scores, it’s rather obvious the game’s a winner. The Xbox 360′s version is better, according to most sites, but that does not mean the PS3′s rubbish. In fact, they’re almost to same.

According to Eurogamer, “Story aside, Crysis 2 is a hell of a video game about shooting stuff. It’s challenging, facilitates and then demands the use of tactics, and is more generous in scale than almost any other first-person shooter of the past few years. Even on the default difficulty setting, this is a challenging game, and the sparsely spaced checkpoints force careful consideration of every scenario.

The long road through the game, winding its way towards Central Park, lacks variation, but then it was never intended to be a Bond-style rollercoaster ride around diverse global tourist locations. Rather, this was always intended to be a game about a suit, and what that represents. In almost every way that matters then, Crysis 2 is dressed for success.”

Find the full quencher past the break.

    Hey Ernice,
Change the G4TV review score to 4/5.
This game is not reaching the expectations of the developer. They said this game needs to get 9′s to be fully successful and it is sitting on an 86 on metacritic right now.

told ya it would be awesome!
im really surprised how tactical the game can be if you want to play it that way.
i thought it would be like every other shooter out there, just walk into a room and shoot everything that moves!
you can do that, but if you want you can cloak and sneak around snapping everyones neck instead!
ive been really impressed by the gameplay its allot more varied and customizable then i was expecting!
i wish they added some brutal melees in there though, gun butting and trowing enemies is so last century!
wish the power kick was quicker to pull off too, its so funny kicking cars into enemies but you can never do it because by the time its charged up you already got 5000 bullets into ya!

only thing driving me nuts is the save system!
my god, finish half a freaking level, travel 1000KMs and kill 10M enemies then die?
start the whole level all over again!
hate it when games make me redo so much just because i died!
this game is the worst, you can complete 3 objectives and not get a single checkpoint!
most games have a checkpoint for every objective you complete, this is every few!
IGN said the same thing in there review, they said its like the game uses the old PC self save method.
i wish games still supported that, we use to be able to hit f7 and have the game auto save and if we die we go back there.
    wish all games had that!
ME2 does, which REALLY came in handy!
