They say nothing happens before its time. Well if that’s the case, why isn’t Sony fighting hard to cock the leaks of its PlayStation Phone happening all over the globe? I guess it’s the device’s time to shine.
And shining with glorious PlayStation beauty, the still unannounced mobile/phone/gaming device’s received the preview treatment all the way in China.
We’ve got details, video and some shots past the jump.
Courtesy Engadget, the Xperia-branded device is powered by a Qualcomm Adreno 205 GPU, along with what’s likely to be a 1GHz Snapdragon QSD8255 as featured on the HTC Desire HD.
Also, according to Neocore, the PS Phone runs an impressive 59.1fps benchmark, a marked improvement from what was leaked in December. Quadrant also reports a high score of 1,733, but hey, there’s no saying that this is the final build, so the graphics performance may get even better. Quadrant also reports a high score of 1,733, by we’re not sure whether this is the final build so things might get even better.
The Quencher Continues: Lots More
Seemingly taken from various sources, the phone will spot a battery capacity of 1,500mAh, a 854×480 resolution 4-inch LCD, a 5 megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash – but no 720p video recording, although this may just be an oversight on the part of the leakers – 512MB RAM, 512MB ROM, a microSD slot, SIM slot, micro-USB, and a second mic on the back for active noise cancellation.
At launch, the phone will be called the PlayStation Pocket. A cool name indeed.
Still, there’s no launch date for the phone, and Sony’s not giving any hints either.
Video Thirst: Seeing Is Believing

you bring the trumpets, ill bring the violin.
I just might buy one, bro. I just might.
what for!?
theres heaps of phones that are better looking, can do more and are more powerful and 50 bucks says will be allot cheaper too!
Yeah, maybe so, but they can’t play my favorite PlayStation games!
i doubt you will be able to play many PSN games on the PS Phone its just not powerful enough.
only games you will able to play are probably the minis.
which, 99% of them are Iphone ports.
I was talking about some PSone classics, and you never know, some exclusive PS Phone games…. We’ll have to wait and see.
but sony have to release the classics first.
thats my problem, there are so many fantastic ps1 games heaps even better than ps3 games!
but sony refuse to put them on the store!
i would kill for the ape escape series, Apocalypse, the loony tunes series especially sheep raider!
dunno if you ever played that, but its by far the best game ive ever played!
sooooooooooooo much fun!!!!!
And what if it’s on the PSPhone?
its not, it cant be because sony cant get the license for it.
even if it does get onto the PSPhone they will add it to the PSN store so i can play it on my ps3 or PSP.
there is absolutley no reason in buying a PSPhone, buy a Iphone 4 you will never regret it!
best phone i have ever bought, and every day theres a new fantastic game to download!
N.O.V.A 2 is the best portable game i have ever played!
looks freaking amazing, heaps of fun and did i mention it looks amazing?
I’m def getting an iPhone 4. No doubt about it.
i love mine, best phone i have ever had!

apple have really good tech support too, never had any problems with my Iphone 3, 3G, or 4 but did have a problem with my Ipod touch.
the battery would drain 100% in a day and the screen was really washed out, turns out the back lighting was cracked was letting excess light in and heat which explains the brightness and poor battery life.
so they just gave me a new ipod touch, right there on the spot no questions asked!
only if sony customer support was that good!
Blame Sony Australia.
