Online Quencher: EU PS Store Update: Try Two Games In Full Before You Purchase

by Ernice Gilbert on October 6th, 2010, under News, Sony

Just like the U.S., the EU PS Store’s also seen an update adding excellent content to the already loaded service. There’s a Modern Warfare 2 sale, a DJ Hero 2 demo and much more.

What’s even more enticing, however, is the two free full game trials Sony’s offering as part of the update.

Yes, play in full Ferrari: The Race Experience, and Tomb Raider: Underworld as trials. Get the rest past the break.

Don’t know bout you guys, but I’m loving the whole try a full game idea.

yeah it is cool getting to play a game for an hour, and not a demo that is thrown together.

Yeah I like that too. You get the final build quality but unlike a demo you can’t play it over and over, one time and it’s done.
I really like the EU offerings though. That Ferrari game could keep me occupied until GT5. I was in a beta for their last game, Supercar Challenge, and I must say these guys put together a good sim: nice physics and graphics.

the free trials a great idea, shame its a one go affair and its of such old games!
most of the games they do have been out for over a year, last ones they did were infamous and RFG which are over a year and a half old!
they should of made it you get one hour of the game and can play it as much as you want, and make it of recently released games, not games that released 12- 18 months ago!
still trying to find a decent racing wheel for a reasonable price.
i cant believe how hard they are to find, none of my local game stores, neither any of the computer stores stock them!
finding a racing wheel is almost as hard as finding a 3 leafed clover, no scratch that its harder!
ebay dont have many either, theres 3 G25s and 6 G27s, the G25s are going for 400 and the G27s, well the less said about them the better!
how the %$#@ can a stupid racing wheel cost the same as a frigging ps3?????????
400 bucks for a 3+ year old racing wheel!
if thats not a rip off, nothing is!!!

Oh cool, I might just check it out!

  7. Thu, 7th Oct 2010 at 5:50 am

So you haven’t purchased a wheel as yet?

  8. Thu, 7th Oct 2010 at 8:38 am

i cant afford to spend 500 bucks on a racing wheel, ill only use it maybe everyday for 2 months than after that once in a blue moon.
problem with racing wheels is 99% of driving games dont support them.
if im going to spend 500 bucks on something, i need most of my games to work on it, not maybe 1 or 2.
i need to do some shopping around, theres a few computer stores in the city might go in there and see if any can get one of these on the cheap.
300, maybe 400 but im not spending anymore than 400 for a stupid racing wheel!
