David Jaffe’s listening to everything the community has to say, then dissects the feedback and responds to what he feels need answers. This time it’s about Twisted Metal’s graphics, which, from what we’ve seen, are not the best in the world.
But Jaffe’s not to worried there, he says although the game’s graphics will see about a 10%-30% improvement before the final thing is released, there’s more to a game that visuals, and if you’re really adamant about it, then the new Twisted Metal is not for you.
“Depending on the level, graphics and fx it will get a 10-30% bump. But it will never be Uncharted 2 or Killzone 3,” he said via twitter in response to a tweet criticizing the game’s visuals.
“If that is the kind of game one demands, one should look elsewhere when it comes to this title.
He added: “There’s all sorts of trade offs that affect visuals and we feel we are making great choices even if it means our artists can’t express themselves fully with the amazing talent they have.”
The new Twisted Metal PS3 will be out sometime next year, no concrete date has been given thus far.
