Crysis 2
Yesterday a plethora of Crysis 2 information was released across the web. We got the chance to see a brand new trailer and new details of the game were also divulged.
But apart from the Time Square NY trailer released on yesterday, another trailer showcasing the power of Crytek’s latest upgrade to its much celebrated engine was also revealed. It’s called Crysis 2 Achieved with CryENGINE 3.

You can’t use the word “ever”. That word makes no sense no matter how you use it. You could say it is the best looking console game “to date”.
Using the word “ever” really means that. Clearly console video games will continue to look better and better every year and every generation. Crysis 2 is simply the newest game that is pushing the graphical fidelity of the consoles.
Secondly, it is had to compare it considering we only have video of it. You can’t really tell until you see it running in real time on the 360 or PS3. There are also other games that are coming out that look very good and probably others that haven’t been announced that might look even better.
If you want to talk about the technical aspects of the engine that is another story. Technically speaking the Crytek 2 engine does things that other engines don’t.
Hence the question mark at the end of the statement Nameless….
But yeah, CryENGINE 3 is really awesome. Crytek knows what they’re about.
i really can not wait for this, BUT im worried about the transision from jungles to NYC.
i mean why NYC the most over done city in the history of video games?
i can see they want to show off their destruction engine, but they could of done that and kept it in the same environments of crysis

nah of course not, but that was the best thing about crysis you had the best of 3 worlds.
you had the train tunnels which were dark and gloomy, you had the jungle which was colorful and you had the alps which were colorful with the snow.
jungles and snow its easy to make the look beautiful, but well how can you make NYC “the best looking console game”
a building is not exactly as beautiful as a jungle.
