Aaron Greenberg is Xbox product director, the man is also Xbox 360 fan no. 1, he and Major Nelson. Now if you’re the console’s number one fan you’ll only want the best features on it, and so he contends web browsing on TVs is a bad experience therefore Xbox 360 will never get one.
This according to a recent interview he had with Edge Magazine. When asked whether Xbox 360 would get web browsing functionality like the PS3 and Wii, Greenberg staunchly said “no”.
“No. We really believe that the web browsing experience on TV is a poor one, and the real magic is to take those web experiences and optimise them for the living room” he said. That’s what we did with Netflix. So, sure, you can go on the PS3 and go to Facebook and and try to navigate, but it’s an absolute nightmare.”
Greenberg continued: “No disrespect, there’s things I love about the PS3, but that’s not one of them. We want the online experience to be fun and optimised for the living room, and we’ll continue to add more applications to get more richness.”

I actually agree with this. I have both a Ps3 and Wii, and I can’t even tell you the last time I used the browsers. They load pages much slower and can’t run many of the plug-ins needed to view a lot of the internet. So what end up with is a watered down version that’s not very fun to use.
I agree with you fully on this one too Brandon. The thing’s basically useless imo.
