As we all know, the Modern Warfare titles rule the world war FPS space, there’s no denying it. EA once held that crown and according to the firm’s European boss, Jens Uwe Intat, they want it back.
“In March we will launch Battlefield: Bad Company 2 which is our first strong attack on Call of Duty,” Intat told MCV Magazine.
“The shooter space is one we don’t want to give up. It’s an important genre and we were number one. So we are certainly working on how we can get that crown back and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is an important product in that context.
“If anyone of our studios can take on Modern Warfare, then it’s Dice,” he concluded.
As noted, the game’s out in March, we’ll see how that plan works out however, from the trailers we’ve seen Battlefield: Bad Company 2 means business, serious business.
