Microsoft has announced Forza Horizon 2 for Xbox One and Xbox 360, coming this fall.
But while fans of the franchise are happy that another Forza Horizon title will be released this year, some are questioning Microsoft’s decision to release the game on the Xbox 360 — a console they believe will hold back the full potential of the game because of last-gen hardware limitations.
Nonetheless, the game will come to the old and new Microsoft platforms, and takes place in Southern Europe.
According to the official blurb released by Microsoft, the game will feature a weather system, as well as the Drivatars – a way of populating a game with AI’s built around the characteristics and driving styles of your friends – from Forza Motorsport 5. There will be ‘hundreds’ of cars, but leading the way on Forza Horizon 2′s boxart is the Lamborghini Huracán.
The news came first by way of IGN, which lead Microsoft to subsequently confirm it.
