Sony To Give PS Vita Temporary Price Cut

Sony will temporarily slash the price of PS Vita by €50 starting June 1st, SCE Europe VP Philippe Cardon declared today.

“The PS Vita is the latest generation of handheld console and more than 1.8m have been sold worldwide since its launch,” he said.

“With this offer we want to make it more accessible to the greatest number with the approach of summer vacation.”

Thanks, MCV.

This is great. I suppose now I should go and get one but I still have to wait until my end of term exams are done, which is around 19. So hopefully the Price cut lasts for 2-4 months. So I can get it.

    not enough.
EB did the same cutting 50 bucks off the WIFI model last monday for one day only!
well so they claimed, on friday it was still up.
    what does that tell you?
it obviously did not fly out the doors like they were expecting!
so on friday they dropped the price of the 3G version by 50, added in uncharted golden abyss and a 4GB card again for one day only.
well 6 days later its still up!
that says $onys going to need a hell of allot more than a 50 dollar price drop!
its funny, resistance BS came out and my local store had 4 copies in!
    FOUR!
in comparison they got 30 copies of sorcery in!
and sorcery is not exactly a big AAA high expecting sell game………….
hell all the accessories and memory cards are special orders only thats how poorly there selling!
