As Mass Effect 3 Launches, EA Flings Copies Into Space

Mass Effect 3

To celebrate the launch of highly anticipated RPG Mass Effect 3, EA’s decided to launch a good amount of copies into space. Are you good at baseball or even Cricket? If so, don’t buy the game, wait for the landing of one and catch the thing. What did you say?

USA Today reports EA will shoot Mass Effect 3 into the higher parts of the universe by means of weather balloons, dispatching from New York, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Berlin, London and Paris.

Each copy of will be dressed with its own GPS, just in case they land properly and are snatched by gamers, or whoever – EA wants to know!

Again, if it lands near your house, then grab the thing like you were saving ET from himself; you might just be the first earthling to play Mass Effect 3.

    i hope there water tight…….
kinda silly this, i mean most of them will either land in the sea, or land on the road and get run over, and whichever dont will probably end up in peoples hands who dont play games and will throw it on ebay.
kinda a waste, would of been better off raffling them off and selling the revenue to charity.

Ha! I think it’s good fun, Nick. Like Foxton said, it’s a crazy but unique idea!
