I still have my psp1000 launch model! So i wont miss it. I actually have a list of JRPGs to purchase since I know the game prices will be dropping soon. I also have a pspgo too! Use that for music and movies on the go. Pspgo is smaller than my cell now! Some solid psp titles helped me stay with it from start to finish. Even though smartphones are all the rage now days, cant no crappy Angry Birds hold a candle to GOW Ghost of Sparta! Long live dedicated handhelds!
Long live dedicated handhelds indeed!! PS Vita I’ll get. That’s for sure.
no.
to me the psp will be remembered as the bastard child!
first it released ridiculously overpriced and so few games on it.
then they finally reduced the price, and released some much needed additions in the 2000 and 3000 series.
then they FINALLY added some awesome well known playstation series like resistance and LBP, syphon filter, GOW, GT, then when they were getting on a roll they just stopped.
yup, bastard child fits it quite perfectly!
what ive said a million times, i just hope the vita does not suffer the same fate!
already is though, look at the launch lineup almost every game is from a third party!
all of playstations most famous franchises, apart from uncharted, are not coming till later.
sound familiar?
it took the ps3 so long to bring some of the families most famous beloved franchises back.
took 4 years from the ps3s release to GOW came out, almost 5 for GT, and 6 years for TM.
then allong comes the vita and we have new IPs on there like unit 13, and reletivley new IPs like uncharted, MNR and motorstorm.
wheres the famous well known playstation IPs from the ps1 and ps2 days?
the getaway 3 got canned on ps3, so id be perfect title to shove onto the vita!
on a new systems launch you need franchises gamers love, not new IPs they know nothing about!
The Bastard Child. LOL
no, that system should have never existed. but then again, the japanese love that system, since it caters to them more. me though i dont find any of games to be that good outside of a few gems
