In The UK, Reckoning Is King

It’s been 12yrs since a new IP RPG has topped the UK charts, the last being Pokemon Red back in 2000. Yes indeed, Kingdoms Of Amalur: Reckoning came out swinging – top 20 below the break.

Square-Enix’s FFXIII-2 was kicked down to second place, while newly released The Darkness II managed to land in the third spot. Metal Gear Solid HD Collection followed in fourth place, while FIFA 12 came in 6th.

@smoge…I have this game. So far so good! Its a big change from Skyrim,but a welcome change. The combat is fast and furious….very satisfying. The story….Im still trying to digest it, only a few hours in. The world is very colorful and vibrant. Doesnt have the tone of realism that Skyrim has,but thats not a bad thing….just different. The player creation and leveling up are satisfying. Like I said….so far,so good! Best thing about it is….on PS3….NO TECHNICAL ISSUES…but only a few hrs in so we shall see

Thanks benzo. I was going to get skyrim, but as the latest patch still hasn’t fixed the game I’m kind thinking; wait till skyrim is fix or get this?

get skyrim, its got a much better story, characters, and a much more beautiful world to enjoy.
crafting and upgrade system is far better too.
in short skyrim is a proper RPG, where this is a action adventure game wanting to be a RPG.
just goes to show even crap can reach number 1 when theres so little releasing!

Nick, how can you call Reckoning crap? Dude, you cannot be a real gamer. First, when FPS sells you say all sorts of things, now a RPG is shinning for a change, a good one at that and you call it crap? SMH
