A release date for the fighting game you’ve been waiting for has just been announced by Capcom. Yes, Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds will see a release on February 15th, 2011.

It’s for the PS3 and Xbox 360, with Europe seeing a release on the 18th of the same month. Capcom has confirmed the launch date alongside the Special Edition, which was leaked by GameStop earlier today.

The Special Edition contains a steelbook case, a prologue comic, a one-month subscription to Marvel’s online comic service and a download voucher, plus hints the game’s first DLC characters.

Shuma Gorath and Jill Valentine will become available for purchase and download four weeks after the game releases, however you can get them for free if you grab the $69.99 Special Edition.

Good stuff. Marvel vs Capcom is one of the better fighting franchises. Looking forward to it.

wow, allot of big games releasing in that month.
saw a new preview of mortal kombat today, the new redesign for scorpion looks SWEET!
nice to see the good old classic fatalities are back too, they showed a new one where kung lao takes off his hat, grabs the enemy by his legs and uses his hat to slice the guy in half!
now thats how you do a fatality!
cant wait till this comes out so i can play it in 3D, plus the collection is suppose to be out soon.
