The latest issue of OPM has the world’s first Heavy Rain review, and according to the mag, Quantic Dream’s first PS3 effort gives an “experience that lurches between genius and madness.” 9/10′s the score.
Here’s some of what the magazine had to say:
“Certainly there’s nothing quite like it on PS3, or indeed any other system. Put gaming conventions aside, go in with no expectations other than this is something new and massively good-looking, and you’ll be rewarded with a unique experience that lurches between genius and madness, manages to be genuinely emotional, and that you’ll be bursting to talk about with your friends.â€
Wow, is all I can say right now.
Thanks, TLG.

I’m not sure what to think of that paragraph. It doesn’t say much other than, “something new and great graphics”, which being “new” and having great graphics can be good, but that paragraph didn’t explain what makes it good.
“…lurches between genius and madness…” I don’t know if that is supposed to mean the game goes from great to bad in areas. If it’s lurching, it better not be like somebody trying to learn to drive a stick shift…that type of lurching isn’t fun at all.
Some good points, and I believe many gamers share the same sentiment.
Soon enough we’ll know.
Ive been keeping an eye on this game since it trailered at E3 and I know the general game population is gonna toss it aside but for me I like playing different games instead of mowing down 6 thousand zombies/terrorists all day. From gameplay vids I’ve seen this is gonna be a different game but in a good way.
The game looks promising! It’s managed to intrigue me enough to go out and buy it on day one! And I really don’t know anything about the game. I have complete faith that quantic dream will deliver on a unique entertaining experience.
