Rumor Thirst: Call Of Duty 7 Is COD7: Black Ops – Full Rumor Quencher

by Ernice Gilbert on March 29th, 2010, under Activision, Treyarch

According to a report from Tek9 (through MapModNews), someone who knows the ins and outs of Activision has leaked that Call of Duty 7, which is being developed by Treyarch will be called Call of Duty: Black Ops.

The game is scheduled for a November 2010 release and will be set in history, between World War II and present day. The source also hinted that some of the missions will take gamers to Cuba and South America leading to speculation that it’s a Cold War and Vietnam based game.

Gamers will have a chance to play as a member of the Special Air Service (SAS), in which players will be involved in close combat during a mission in the Iranian embassy in the 1980’s.

Also, The Zombie mode made popular in Call of Duty: World At War will return.

One of the most lauded aspects of this rumor however, is the return of dedicated servers that was pulled from Modern Warfare 2. News PC gamers the world over must be happy to hear.

Sounds fully interesting I must say. And here I thought my interest in Call of Duty titles was strained and dying.
