So, if you’re not aware of the madness that occurred yesterday between Infinity Ward and the publisher its been contracted to for some time now, Activision, then I’m sure you’ve been living off the internet. Ok that didn’t ring to good, but whatever.
A lot’s been going on with the two which ended with the dismissal of Infinity Ward’s two bosses. It’s rough yes, but according to G4 TV, the studio will remain “central” to the franchise.
Now it’s Treyarch, Sledgehammer and Infinity Ward working on Call of Duty: titles, and if I’m counting right that’s six three studios!
This memo comes from the CEO of Activision Publishing, Mike Griffith, who said, “Infinity Ward remains central to Call of Duty’s future” and that Activision would continue to “rely on the combined talent, expertise and leadership of the team there for [Call of Duty's] success.”
I’m tired just thinking about the flood of COD games we’re about to be bombarded with. (Sigh).
