The Final Fantasy franchise is Square-Enix’s biggest cash god. Even titles that were developed many years ago are still some of the top selling on PSN, the most notable being Final Fantasy VII. We already have FFVIII so what’s next? Square-Enix is hinting at the possibility of a FFIX PSN release.
One of company’s producers, Shinji Hashimoto has been collecting opinions from people, asking whether they’d like to see the PSone’s final Final Fantasy on the PlayStation store. The folks have responded positively however a definite conclusion hasn’t been made.
“Thanks to everyone for your opinions on FF9,” Hasimoto said on the Square Enix Japanese Members Twitter.
“Regarding an FF9 download release, everyone is so passionate about it that I’ll be proposing it at the next board meeting. Look forward to next week!”
I don’t know about you but I’m already convinced the game will appear on PSN, and that will be a good day my friends.
