News concerning Halo: Reach have been incessantly pouring onto the internet and with every video, every screenshot that is revealed, gamers keep getting thirstier by the minute to get play the highly anticipated title. Well if you’re one of them we’ve got bad and good news. The bad news is that you’ll have to wait 9-10 long months to get your hands on the game, the good news? We’ve listed four other top games that’ll quench your thirst while you wait.
Modern Warfare 2: Prepare Your Guns

The biggest shooter on the planet at the moment is Modern Warfare 2. Infinity Ward’s stellar game stands at the top of the mountain of FPS quality with a robust campaign mode and a multiplayer than none other dare even come close to. What better way to sharpen your aiming skills than getting your shoot on in MW2? There’s no better way I reckon; the game’s simply the best shooter ever made, no joke. Spec Ops will also keep you and a good buddy busy taking down terrorists, so get at it while you wait for Halo: Reach, it’ll help quench your thirst. I’m sure you own this game but if not, it’s out now go pick it up.
Mass Effect 2: Remember The Aliens?

Ah, Mass Effect 2, the game’s not even out yet and already Bioware is developing the last title of the trilogy. Aliens are all over the place and you must destroy them or else face your death. But you’re more than familiar with aliens; after all, you’ve been facing them for years in the Halo titles. So what are you afraid of? Crank your guns my friend, it’s about to get ugly with alien blood in here, green, blue, red blood. Splatter their guts all over the place! That should keep your your adrenaline flowing for a few months. Buy Mass Effect 2 late January.
Splinter Cell: Conviction: Hone your Stealth Skills

Not all missions are for running and gunning; sometimes you must be careful, quiet even. No one is supposed to know you’re infiltrating, so your steps are ordained, they’re soft and timed. Halo: Reach will require some of that and if you’ve been gaming for a few years, you should know there’s no other game that’ll help you perfect your stealth skills like Splinter Cell. Conviction is out, by the time Halo: Reach comes out, you should be a professional in the stealth department. February is when this one will be out.
Battlefield: Bad Company 2: Know Your Enemy

Your worst enemy could be your best friend, and your best friend you worst enemy? Yep, true words indeed. The Battlefield: Bad Company Franchise is well known for dirty plots and betrayal, I think it’d be good if you familiarize your self with it so you don’t make the wrong decisions in Halo: Reach. The game is also a topnotch first person shooter an according to EA, a worthy competitor to Infinity Ward’s MW2.
Play all these games and your thirst should be quenched until the end of the year. And then: Halo: Reach.
