Sports fans beware: some of your favorite titles days are numbered. EA has announced a list of games it plans to halt service for starting on February 2. Among the games being discontinued are titles from since 2007 such as Madden 07 and NBA 07 and the PS2 version of Fight Night Round 3.
Madden 09’s also getting the boot, apparently EA wants to offer people an incentive to pick up Madden 10 and shutting down 09’s servers is the best way to do that I suppose. This is somewhat unfair especially when other titles tend to stay online for a couple years.
Here’s the full list of games that’ll be unplayable beginning on February 2.
