So tell me, who got the better deal? Citing the huge success of the movie released on the day it was named after, Valentines day, The Telegraph examined the effect that the popularity of video games is having on movies. It’s simple really, if videogames are eating up all the time men have, then it leaves little room for theater cash, hence the rise in the popularity and instant success stories of girl flicks.
Don’t know how to feel here. The gaming industry can’t seem to produce enough content that ladies will appreciate on a constant basis, and the film industry doesn’t seem to be able to mesh a good mix either.
I dunno, probably one day something will change for the better, or it probably never will. And who knows, it might just be better this way.

The “X Box Factor” that the other article mentions is an interesting point. I think people are also beefing up their entertainment systems at home for a better price now, and they don’t mind waiting for it to come to blu-ray/dvd. Personally, I still enjoy going to the movies too.
Me too man, I don’t think it’ll ever die… And although you make a good point about people beefing up their systems at home, there’s something special about going to the movies….
