For Dave Cox, Console Comparisons Are “Bollocks”

And that’s one of the reasons we don’t do fanboy here at Games Thirst. It’s futile, childish behavior. Yes according to Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow Producer, David Cox, comparing consoles, and the multiplatform games on them are “bollocks”.

“It’s certainly not about one console being superior to the other.

“This argument is bollocks, frankly; it’s about making the best of what both machines are good at and focussing on that because, believe me, both machines are a challenge to develop on no matter what you are doing,” he said while speaking about the game’s development in an interview with VG247.

He also reiterated the importance of each version being almost the same quality, even if it’s being developed first on PS3.

“It is very important to me that no version is inferior, if you develop for Xbox 360 and port to PS3, or indeed vice versa, you can end up with a game that is great on one but lousy on another.”

The game will be out later this year, with Mercury Steam being the lead developer while receiving much needed guidance from the San himself: Kojima Productions.

Childish fanboys. Go to school.

Great to hear this sort of attitude spreading through the industry. Making sure that a game is developed the right way on both machines is a win for everyone.

Yeah, this fanboy this-and-that must stop. Makes our beloved industry look childish.
