PS3’s The Lead Platform For Castlevania: Lords of Shadow

Many PS3 owners have been screaming foul because of the terrible Bayonetta port from Xbox 360 to their platform of choice which lead to reviewers giving higher marks to the 360 version. The reason for this no one knows but it has happen on a semi-constant basis. Some devs up to this day claim that the PS3 is still too complicated for them; therefore when a game is ported over from Xbox 360, it won’t get the same attention, same polish as the Xbox 360’s.

Well a new game is on its way, a highly anticipated one at that and guess what? PS3 will be the lead platform for development, rest easy Sony fans, rest easy.

Now, the Xbox 360 version of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow won’t be a port (like Bayonetta PS3) but David Cox, a Kojima Productions producer, said on his twitter page that the game is being developed with PS3 as the lead platform. He also noted that the camera will be fixed, in other words you won’t be able to control it manually. Much like God of War it seems, as the camera in that game is fixed also. Seriously though, is there any game out in the wild that’s not taking cues from God of War? Dante’s Inferno, Darksiders, and many more.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow has no solid release date yet, we only know that it’s suppose to be released sometime this year and everything we’ve heard thus far, points to the title being a stellar effort and we’re mainly excited about it because it’s being developed by Kojima Productions. Oh yeah.
