Masashi Hamauzu, an employee at Square-Enix for the past 15 years, has left the company according to website Square-Enix Music Online.
SaGa Frontier II, Unlimited SaGa, Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy XIII are all titles Hamaizu worked on during his time at the publishing giant. On January 27th, the official Final Fantasy XIII sound track will be released in Japan.
Square Music online also reports that during the coming months, further departures from the Square-Enix composing team will occur in the upcoming months.
Where is Masashi Hamauzu heading? No one knows for sure, and as for the expected departures in the upcoming months, that too is strange. Fertile soil somewhere else probably? We’ll keep you up to date as news concerning this situation breaks.

Yeah that’s a little disturbing schme. To be honest though I think the only real Final Fantasy composer who matters is Nobuo Uematsu, his music is classic.
