So, this is extremely personal to me. I am, THE biggest Killer Instinct fan of all time; no, I’m serious. I learned every combo, every ultra, all the ultimates – and every other move in the first game for every character, including all the combo-breakers. And that’s without any cheat codes.
I have a vested interest in any news concerning Killer Instinct.
For ages, rumors have been running rampant that Killer Instinct 3 is on its way, however nothing have surfaced, not even a trickle of semi-solid evidence to support the wild speculations around the web. But thanks to Kenneth Lobb, creative director of Microsoft’s Game Studios, hope’s alive and well. Hallelujah!
“I love KI. We want to make KI,” Lobb told D’toid in an interview at X-10. “We aren’t working on it today. Someday, we’ll bring it back.”
And about the ultra combos we love so much in the game? It was Lobb’s idea.
Hopefully, the first KI makes it to XBLA, I’d pay countless dollars for it.
