With no football on tap until the summer and the champion of the 44th Super Bowl already being crowned, you can now cure your football blues by voting to crown the athlete who will grace the cover of Madden 11 this coming year, and win some cool swag just for voting. Doritos has paired up with EA Sports to let the public vote on the cover athlete who will grace this upcoming year’s Madden 11 and try their luck on winning some cool prizes in the process.
The three players who are the finalists for the Madden 11 cover and are trying their best to win over your vote(or not trying to win your vote depending on your view of the annual Madden Curse) are Pro Bowler Wide Receiver Reggie Wayne from the Indianapolis Colts, Pro Bowler Defensive End Jared Allen from the Minnesota Vikings, and Super Bowl XLIV MVP Quarterback Drew Brees from the New Orleans Saints.
You can cast your vote once a day until the contest commences on March 18th, but the contest is only open to only U.S. residents, and prizes will only be awarded to U.S. residents, but anyone worldwide can vote for their favorite player and do their best to get him the on the coveted cover.
The grand prize will be given away once a week, and is a trip for two to the NFL Draft in New York City, which takes place between April 22-April 25 this year with round-trip airfare included, three nights hotel accommodations paid, $500 spending money, and two passes to attend the 2010 NFL Draft. And if you are not lucky enough to claim the grand prize, they are also giving away prizes daily which will include three EA Sports titles.
