Naruto fan facts. Did you know? That:

• Before the ninetails killed Naruto’s parents, his mother wanted her best friend’s son to be friends with Naruto. It was Sasuke’s mother.
• Neji’s fighting style comes from the Baguazhang, a Chinese martial art, meaning Eight Trigram Palm.
• Rock Lee’s character greatly resembles Bruce Lee. Additionally, Bruce Lee once received the same type of injury as Rock Lee did in the Chunin Exams against Gaara, and he was also never expected to walk, much less fight again.
• Tenten’s fashion and fighting style stereotypes the Chinese theme.
• Ino-Shika-Cho is a winning combination in Hanafuda (Flower Cards), a japanese card game played with special cards.
• In episode 1, when Sasuke and Naruto kissed, Naruto didn’t have his whiskers!!!

• Uchiha Sasuke was named after Sarutobi Sasuke. In the Naruto World, Sarutobi Sasuke was Sandaime Hokage’s (Sarutobi Hiruzen) father. Sasuke’s mother named him ‘Sasuke’ hoping that someday he would become a great ninja just like Sandaime Hokage’s father. In the real world, Sarutobi Sasuke was a famous ninja in Japanese Folklore. He is generally believed to be a Meiji period fictional creation based on the historical ninja Kozuki Sasuke.
• Jiraiya (児雷也 – literally “Young Thunder”), the title character of the Japanese folktale Jiraiya Gōketsu Monogatari (児雷也豪傑物語, “The Tale of the Gallant Jiraiya”), is a ninja who uses shapeshifting magic  to morph into a gigantic toad . The heir of a powerful clan in Kyūshū of the same name, Jiraiya fell in love with Tsunade , a beautiful young princess who masters slug  magic. His arch-enemy was his one-time follower, Orochimaru , who mastered snake  magic. (All this, is in Naruto and it is just a folklore of japan, the most simple version of the tale of the gallant jiraiya.
• Suigetsu (meaning “water moon”) is a poetic term for the moon reflecting on the surface of the water. As an extension of this, the word can also refer to something illusory, without true substance; perhaps referring to Suigetsu’s ability to turn his body into water.

• Konohamaru: Leaf + Male suffix, he has explained it himself.
• Tsunade: Mooring Rope, also Tsu: steal, Na: indicates emotion or emphasis, De: rising of the moon or sun.

• Uzumaki: whirlpool
• Kiba means fang and akamaru means red. Kiba’s mom is Tsume, meaning talon and her ninken is kuromaru, meaning black. Kiba’s sister is Hana, meaning nose, and her ninken are Haimaru Sankyodai, the grey triplets.
• Naruto: fishcakes, just like the ramen he loves.

Here is some Japanese mythology that connects to Naruto:

Izanagi is a deity born of the seven divine generations  and is also referred to in the roughly translated Kojiki as “male-who-invites” or Izanagi-no-mikoto (“Lord Izanagi”). It is also pronounced Izanagi-no-Okami (“The God Izanagi”).
Izanami-no-Mikoto, meaning “she who invites”, is a goddess of both creation and death, as well as the former wife of the god Izanagi-no-Mikoto. She is also referred to as Izanami-no-kami.

After Izanami’s death, Izanagi went to the Underworld to take her back, but it was already too late. After getting out, in the cleansing rite he begot Amaterasu (the sun goddess) from his left eye, Tsukuyomi (the moon god) from his right eye and Susanoo (tempest or storm god) from his nose.

Susanoo slayed the the eight-headed serpent Yamata no Orochi.

So let’s see: In Naruto series the Uchiha clan can use Amaterasu, Tsukuyomi and Susanoo. Also two very powerfull jutsu were revealed to us, Izanagi and Izanami.Finally Itachi is the one that defeated Orochimaru using Susanoo.
