Summary of season one and two, ”Naruto” , ”Naruto Shippuuden”
Naruto is a young boy who wants to be acknowledged and has vowed that he would, one day, become the best Hokage (Leader of the Village). The plot is followed by a story: Twelve years ago a nine-tailed Demon Fox attacked the village (Konoha) and killed many villagers, skilled ninja and destroyed much of the village. The Fourth Hokage used a very strong jutsu (skill, technique) and sacrificed his life to seal the Nine-Tails into a newborn, Naruto Uzumaki. In his childhood, naruto was ostracized by the villagers because they regarded him as the Nine-Tails itself. Even though the Third Hokage, who was in charge, outlawed speaking about anything related to the Nine-Tails, the children inherited the same feelings towards naruto, hate and fear.
So the adventure of Naruto starts at the academy, where he achieves the first title of a ninja and becomes a Genin. Of course that happened after a lot of struggles and fights, where he learned a jutsu from a forbidden scroll, the Shadow Clone Jutsu (Kage Bunshin no Jutsu). After graduation Naruto was assigned in team 7, along with Sakura and Sasuke. Naruto had a crush on Sakura and Sasuke was his ”rival”, a very talented kid, the only survivor (except of his older brother Itachi, who is a rogue ninja) of the Uchiha clan who possessed Sharingan. The sensei (leader/teacher) of team 7 was Kakashi Hatake. As team 7 they were assigned to many missions and they participated in a ninja exam that gives them the opportunity to get higher ninja ranking. During the exams Orochimaru attacked the village and killed the Third Hokage. After that Jiraya (one of the three legendary ninja) went for a journey to find Tsunade to make her the Fifth Hokage that needed Konoha. During the journey they discovered that Orochimaru wanted Sasuke to get his powers, and eventually Sasuke followed him because he thought he could become stronger and take revenge by killing brother. Naruto and his friends tried hard to take him back, but they were too weak. So Naruto decided to leave Konoha and follow jiraya, with whom he trained for two and a half years.
After Naruto returned from his training, a new organisation made his appearance. The Akatsuki, which wanted all the ‘tailed beasts’ that were inside of people, just like Naruto. Itachi was a member of Akatsuki too. They took 7 of the beasts and all their hosts died in the process except of Gaara, who was the host of the One-Tailed beast, thanks to Naruto and his comrades who saved him. Itachi died in his battle with Sasuke and after that he was told by the Akatsuki founder and leader Tobi that Itachi was ordered by Konoha’s leadership to destroy his clan to which he agrees with the condition of allowing Sasuke to be spared. Thus, Sasuke joins forces with Akatsuki to kill Konoha’s superiors who ordered the Uchihas’ elimination and destroy Konoha in revenge.
The Konoha ninja killed a lot of Akatsuki members but the strongest one, Pain invaded Konoha to capture Naruto. However Naruto won him, became a hero and convinced to abandon Akatsuki. With Pain’s eventual death, Tobi, announced that he wanted to obtain all nine of the “tailed beasts” in order to perform an illusion powerful enough to control all of humanity. The leaders of the five ninja villages joined forces to defend against Tobi and his allies. This resulted in a fourth ninja world war between the unified armies of the Five Great Countries (known as the “Ninja Alliance Army”) and Akatsuki’s forces. During the conflict, it is revealed that Tobi is actually Obito Uchiha, Kakashi’s former teammate who was supposed to be dead, but he was saved by the real Madara Uchiha and has been working with him ever since. When Sasuke learned the true faces of his ”allies” he decided to come back to Konoha, protect it and help his friends to confront the enemy.
