This was a buy for me as soon as it was announced. Loved the previous MOH game, so I’m on this.

the more and more i see of this the less i want it!
its looking more and more of a COD wannabe!!!!!!
only reason MoH was so popular is because it was so unique.
way to completely destroy such a iconic franchise EA!

The story it what sets MOH apart from COD. The story focuses on the soldiers and their families. The recent MOH focused on the soldiers and their struggles as a unit. It was a more focused and engaging narrative that the recent COD games. The combat is going to be similar because they are both games that take place in modern times. But the story of the Tier 1 operatives is what is bringing me back.

the story in the reboot was a typical military shooter story.
    IE egotistical and pretty rubbish!
the tactical gameplay, the ask questions first shoot later aspect of the game is what made it so popular.
they have completely thrown that out the window!
just another case of EA saying one thing, and doing another!
they say a small percentage of MoH players played BF3 because they prefer the more realistic tactical gameplay.
so they go and cut it out of the sequel!

There has been no other game that took actual Tier 1 operatives and showed their stories, plain and simple. They actually sat down with these modern day warriors and were treated to the things they saw/experienced on different ops. I dont think real life exploits of heroism, bravery, and selflessness are rubbish or egotistical. And EA is trying to make $$$$ by giving the majority of the masses what they want, more COD type games…fast twitch, dumb shooters. (in my opinion). So cant really fault EA for giving the gamers what they “seem” to want.

thats the problem though, what they “seem” to want is not what they want!
EA said it themselves, a very small percentage that played MoH played BF3 because the people who played MoH prefer a more realistic tactical experience.
    they know it themselves.
so why the hell are they turning it into the complete opposite?

I see your point Nick. I personally enjoy a more tactical approach when it comes to shooters. But at the same time, BF3 was more tactical than the crop of COD games. While more tactical aspects would be nice, I just enjoy MoH and BF games for the non-fast twitch stuff. Hope that Danger Close can hone is on the tactical aspect more.
