Video Thirst: Unreal Engine 4: The Future Of Videogames

Most games you play, whether you’re aware of it or not, use Epic Games Unreal Engine, the third version. Behind closed doors at GDC early this year, the firm showed the latest tech to a select few developers, but now, it’s available for the whole world to see. This is what next-gen games will look like when powered by Unreal Engine 4.

Now here’s a walkthrough video in real-time giving a technical demonstration of the engine, and showing things in more detailed fashion than the cinematic video above.

    very cool!
    its really amazing the lighting effects they are supporting in this, so many different techniques we have not seen in games yet.
    not quite ray tracing, but pretty dam close!
