Post Rc planes, getting started flying
on: March 11, 2013, 03:57

Hi y”all…Ive been flyn rc planes for 45 yrs plus now. So if ya need help in buying, setting up and flyn one, I will gladly help you.

For those who dont know me Im DJ and I work at hobbytown USA. Personally I dont care where you buy your planes from. Im here to help with getting started correctly!!! We need more flyers on this forum.

Newbs questions:
1. I want a mustang or some other warbird as my first plane. Which warbird is best to begin with.
None of them!!…Your first rc plane needs to be a high wing trainer type that looks like a cub. They have a dihedral in the wing that helps with lift and it makes them more stable and gentler flyers.

2. Doesnt rc flying cost alot to get in too?
No, now adays you can get started for around $100.00

There is numerous Rc trainers to choose from. Costs really do depend on how big a plane you want and the electronics it comes with. Personally I prefer the bit larger trainers for this area due to the constant breezes.

To be continued…time for the rc car racing
