David Jaffe’s announced that Twisted Metal, the title he and his Eat Sleep Play team’s been working on for over two years, won’t see the promised October release, instead the game will come ready early 2012.

Eat Sleep Play’s gone live with yet another Twisted Metal trailer, and I kid you not by saying it’s the best thing I’ve seen all morning.

I’m sure you’ve noticed E3′s gone into overdrive way before the real thing happens next week. That’s why we’re having an overload of news and game trailers hit the web like a rocket launch today. But you’re not complaining, right? Check out Twisted Metal’s E3 2011 Revenge trailer below the break.

Twisted Metal will land exclusively on PS3 later this year, and below the break Sony’s afforded us six new screens of its upcoming Sweettooth rampage. Get them below.

The name speaks for itself, and we know David Jaffe’s mind is already twisted. But the latest Twisted Metal trailer unleashed (below the break) is really brutally cruel – yet I’m liking it.

While gamers who own Xbox 360 and PC get to enjoy loads of multiplatform games and a few exclusive ones, it’s safe to say that this year, Sony’s really went above and beyond in the exclusive lineup department. Not only have they outdone themselves, but almost everyone of those games are blockbuster titles.
So like any other would do, the hardware giant wants to remind us all of something: PS3 has the best games this year, make sure to play them.
Below the break is the latest Twisted Metal trailer, a game being helmed by the creator of God of War himself, David Jaffe.
If you call yourself a gamer, you should at least own a PS3 or Xbox 360. They are both capable next generation consoles, and they both offer great value. You’ll have a blast on Xbox Live playing awesome games like Halo: Reach and Gears of War. There, you’ll also find all the multiplatform games we’ve come to love, with most of them being of a better quality on the 360.
So there’s no doubt the good folks who own said system have something of great value, but when it comes to games that are pushing console limits, those that have raised the bar, and those that have, and will continue to shape a generation, your gaze must turn to the PS3.
It’s not fanboy talk when I say the best games are on PS3. Let’s head past the break to find some of them.
At E3, David Jaffe stunned the crowd when he stepped on stage at Sony’s presser and revealed the game he’d been working on for some time now. Many had speculated on what exactly it might have been, but when he came in that old bus, instantaneously, we knew it was Sweet Tooth returning with a vengeance.
The game’s coming together great, David Jaffe, Twisted Metal creator said. According to him, “in this day and age where every PS3 first-party PS3 exclusive is basically a cinematic adventure experience, will the audience show up for good old fashion gameplay? I don’t know. Yes, I’m neurotic. And no, you never get used to it.”
One thing David Jaffe knows, however, is that the game will be awesome, and its online component second to none.
Eat, Sleep Play’s new title will be coming to a PS3 near you in 2011. The long rumored title was finally announced at E3 after much denials from game creator, David Jaffe.
Fans loved the footage that was shown in LA, and according to Wedbush Morgan Securities analyst, Michael Pachter, it will be a “big big system seller”.
So, David Jaffe will release his latest game, the one that most already knew was coming, sometime next year. But was it really the game he wanted to be working on? Or would he’d rather be creating something entirely new?
Apparently, the man’s thrilled that Twisted Metal is the game he’s working on, claiming it’s the “most fun” he’s ever had.
How long has the New Twisted Metal been under development at Eat, Sleep Play you ask? Apparently almost two years now. This according to the game’s creator David Jaffe.
UPDATE: Spanking new trailer added past the break. Gameplay video will be added soon.
Original Story: David Jaffe came On the stage, big truck and all, crowd went wild. The rest is history.
The creator of some of the most enjoyed tittles of all time; think God of War and Twisted Metal amongst others. The guy’s a genius, albeit one who talks a lot has now said he no longer “connects” with review scores, and that he’s paying attention to fan feedback only.
