Mixed reactions followed the announcement of Freddy Krueger as the latest Mortal Kombat character in the form of DLC. Some gamers were angry because they claim there are lots of Mortal Kombat characters to choose from, while others didn’t know what to feel. Some, however, were happy, but most importantly, Mortal Kombat boss Ed Boon felt it made sense.
Warner Bros. and Netherrealms studios have sent live Mortal Kombat Skarlet DLC which can be downloaded now on PSN and Xbox Live.
It is a great day for all you Klassic Mortal Kombat fans. NetherRealm Studios has released a video showing off their “Klassic Character Skins” that are due out on June 7 for PSN and XBL. The pack will set you back only $4.99 or 400 MSP. It will include classic skins for Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Reptile, Kitana, Ermac, Jade and Mileena. It will also include the classic fatalities for Sub-Zero, Scorpion and Reptile. Check out the video, and tell us what you think.
Shang Tsung. If you’ve played Mortal Kombat then you know the lost soul well. He’s given up everything. Even his soul he’s given up to Outworld’s leader Shao Khan just so he could obtain maximum power, and every time the tournament comes around, the dark fighter’s obligated to try and shift the battles on his boss’s side.
The guy also got some rather sick moves.
Mortal Kombat will see the light of day on April 15th, and while we wait for said date to arrive, Netherrealms, the studio behind this latest effort, has been feeding our thirst with extremely tasty footage.
This latest one does not disappoint.
Mortal Kombat’s getting ready to make a big splash in April, and although all versions of the game will be great, the PS3′s version got something special for owners of said console – Kratos!

A few weeks ago we ran a post revealing the Mortal Kombat reboot’s full roster, but looking at it closer, we realized that popular MK character Rain was nowhere to be found.
Disappointed, some of the guys on the site, including me, began crying for his return, but later realized Netherrealms Studios, the developer behind the reboot, might make our dream a reality through DLC.
That’s no problem, but if they’re going to bring him back. Please, we beg you, bring him back looking like this:
