3D Not Yet Confirmed For MGS: Rising
Move support’s already a go for Kojima Productions latest game, Metal Gear Solid: Rising, but what about hacking and slashing melons in 3D? That’s not yet confirmed. What was shown at TGS was “just a referential presentation,” says Rising producer Shigenobu Matsuyama.
In Metal Gear Solid: Rising, More Of The Same
Although Metal Gear Solid: Rising’s a title all its own, and one that differentiates, taking a totally new path from what we’ve become used to in the franchise, there are still many characters you’ll see in the game from past Metal Gear Solid installments.
Video Thirst: Metal Gear Solid: Rising Gameplay Vid Released, Cutting Rampage
Microsoft’s TGS press conference had a lot to do with cutting this year, especially in the upcoming hack-n-slash title, Metal Gear Solid: Rising.
And I mean cutting at will — what you like, Zan-Datsu if you please. Below the break’s the MGS:R trailer demonstrating exactly what took place.
Plethora Of Sony Related News In Here – The Full Quencher
Sony’s presser’s in full swing folks, and we won’t miss a beat. Below the break, a ton of PlayStation related news are yours for the reading, drinking and quenching.
The notables we’ll give separate posts, let’s dance.
Metal Gear Solid: Rising On Display At Microsoft’s Presser, Lot Of Slicing
Metal Gear Solid: Rising’s a hack-n-slash game, and although its producer would like to convince you otherwise, judging by the trailer releassed at E3, we couldn’t come up with another genre that fits the game better.
The title’s once more being showed off at TGS in Microsoft’s press conference, and although nothing solid, or interesting for that matter, was divulged, lots of “slicing” took place.
In Rising, You Can Play Through The Game Without Killing A Soul
What’s your purpose when playing games? Is it to kill your way through to victory, or make only the necessary decisions, killing only who you must and conspicuously attaining your goal?
I reckon, most players are in it for the fun, the head shots, slashing and dicing through God of War III like a man with only one passion: to be a killing machine. Most, to be honest, don’t like to stealth around like they were afraid to be seen.
For the prudent, though, there’s Metal Gear Solid: Rising. According to the game’s producer, a player can play through the entire thing without harming a soul.
Not Many MGS Franchise Characters Will Appear In Rising
If you’re a Metal Gear Solid fan, you know the list of characters that always make the roster. Sunny, Otacon, Revolver Ocelot, Psycho Mantis, Vamp, Campbell and the rest.
Don’t expect to see them in Rising. Because according to Kojima Productions, said characters will need storie, and the stories will just make things too complicated for the ‘new’ converts to understand.
I guess Rising’s really a standalone franchise.
Metal Gear Rising Will Become Second Metal Gear Series Says Matsuyama
When Metal Gear Solid: Rising was revealed at E3 last year, many had no clue as to what exactly the game was about, except the Rising image that lead us all to believe Raiden would be playing a major role in the game.
One year later, though, and a new trailer has been released with a good amount of information. We know that the game stars Raiden for sure, and also it’ll be a totally different experience that what we’ve come to know and love with the Metal Gear Solid franchise.
In Rising, the story won’t play a major role like those with Snake as the main character, and there won’t be as many cutscenes either. Also, Rising will be based around hacking and slashing your enemies, compared to the stealth oriented missions that we’re now used to in the Metal Gear Solid franchise.
Obviously, many fans are worried that the Metal Gear series will see a radical change with the birth of Rising, right? Wrong. Because according to game producer Shigenobu Matsuyama, speaking to Enterbrain in a podcast, Metal Gear Solid Rising could become a series all its own.
Metal Gear Solid: Rising vs MGS4: Engine Comparison
Metal Gear Solid 4 is still one of the best looking games this generation has to offer. According to Kojima Productions assistant producer Sean Eyestone, the MGS team is remaking Rising‘s engine “from scratch” to make it look even better than MGS4. E3 gave us the first real glimpse of the game’s real time and in-game engine. Rising is still in development and not much has been shown yet, but we will try to see how the engine evolved with the few screenshots Konami distributed at E3.
Metal Gear Solid: Rising Might Receive Move and Kinect Compatibility
Yesterday, we gave Kojima Productions some of advice, encouraging the team to include Move support in the next Konami epic: Metal Gear Solid: Rising. It seems as if they’ve been thinking of the same thing.
David Hayter Hasn’t Been Contacted For Metal Gear Solid: Rising
What Is Metal Gear Solid without Snake? Not much I reckon. So don’t lose your cool when I tell you that he might not be appearing in Rising.
Rumor Thirst: Is This Metal Gear Solid’s Box Art?
What appears to be the official box art for upcoming title, Metal Gear Solid: Rising, has been posted, or rather updated on the Xbox 360 Dashboard.
Metal Gear Solid: Gray Fox Rising?
Snake, Snake, Snaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaake! was the cry you heard in Metal Gear Solid: Guns of The Patriots, but this time Raiden, the somewhat childish soldier in Sons Of Liberty, turned super ninja has taken the lead. Kojima has never disappointed gamers in the past and at E3 2010, Metal Gear Solid: Rising will begin its rise.
The momentum and hype that’s now after Rising has been building for some time now. Ever since Raiden unexpectedly took the lead character’s role in Sons of Liberty, every Metal Gear Solid fan have payed close attention to him. Some love Raiden and most hate him.
But is it really Raiden? Some clues point to something else.
Okay, for those of you how didn’t know, I consider myself a Metal Gear expect, and also a conspirator. So here goes:
Rumor Thirst: Metal Gear Solid: Rising Confirmed For Sony’s E3 Presser?
E3 is no doubt one of the biggest game shows anywhere, second in scale only the the Tokyo Game Show. So expect all the big names in the gaming business to be there showing their games.
