 Episode 13, History of the War Against the Titans.

• Part 1,
  The oldest available recoreds say the Titans appeared 107 years ago.
  They devoured most of humanity.
• Part 2,
  Humanity retaliared with cannons, but they were useless in the face of the Titan’s regenerative ability.

Episode 14, Special Military Tribunal.

• Part 1,
  A military court that judges soldiers and military personnel.
  The judge, prosecution and defense are all composed of military personnel.
• Part 2,
  Polities have more influence than in a normal military tribunal.
  Darius Zackley, leader of the three military forces, makes the final decision.

Episode 15, The Wall Faith.

• Part 1,
  A religious sect with growing influence in the inner lands.
  They worship the Walls and won’t allow anyone to touch them, even for defense purposes.
• Part 2,
  Since the fall of Wall Maria, the number of their followers is growing rapidly and so does their influence.

Episode 16, Branch Selection.

• Part 1,
  After three years of training, a ceremony is held in which trainees choose among the Garrison, Survey Corps, or Military Police.
• Part 2,
  However, only the top ten can enter the Military Police, so the choice is limited to the Survey Corps or the Garrison. Most select the Garrison.

Episode 17, Long-range Scouting Formation.

• Part 1,
  Devised by Survey Corps Commander Erwin Smith, its use has dramatically increased survival rates outside the walls.
• Part 2,
  Put simply, it’s a form of human ”radar”. By quickly alerting Erwin in the center to the discovery of any Titans, the Survey Corps can change course.

Episode 18, Forest of Giant Trees.

• Part 1,
  Isolated forests of giant trees can be found within and beyond the walls.
  They occur naturally in certain areas, and tree heights can exceed 80 meters.
• Part 2,
  Before Wall Maria’s fall, this particular forest was a tourist area.
  Now, it is a strategically important location used by the Survey Corps to protect themselves from Titans during expeditions.

Episode 19, Smoke Rounds.

• Part 1,
  Signal rounds fired by small handguns using gunpowder.
  A small tube, with the round, is swapped out each time.
• Part 2,
  The signal color changes per message:
  Red- Titan sighted.
  Green- Change course.
  Black- Aberrant sighted.

Episode 20, Special Target Capture Weapon.

• Part 1,
  A newly developed weapon the Survey Corps created to capture a specific Titan.
• Part 2,
  The barrels are loaded with seven steel tubes, each of which has coiled wires with arrowheads at both ends.

Episode 21, Survey Corps Horses.

• Part 1,
  The horses of the Survey Corps were bred specifically for them, and stand around 160cm, weighin between 450 and 500kg.
• Part 2,
  Their top speed is between 75 and 80 km/h and they can maintain speeds of 35 km/h.
  Horses are about the only way to escape a Titan.

Episode 22, Survey Corps Wagons

• Part 1,
  These wagons include a complicated suspension system of ultra-hard steel that can only be made in factory cities.
• Part 2,
  Wagons hitched to Survey Corps horses travel around 20 km/h. They can maintain their speed on various terrain, be it paved or unpaved road.

Episode 23, The Military Police

• Part 1,
  The Military Police number around 2.000, but if you add the Garrison under their command, their actual force is approximately 5.000.
• Part 2,
  Each walled city has about 200 MP stationed there.
  Primary duties are to oversee trainee brigades, monitor the Garrison, and direct fire-fighting operations.

Episode 24, Wall Sina.

• Part 1,
  Wall Sina encloses the capitalo and about 200.000 people.
  Residency requires special permission and is technically restricted to the royal family and their relatives.
• Part 2,
  One may also earn residency rights through meritorious service in the Garrison or Military Police, which is considered the sole means for the poor to gain safe refuge.

Episode 1, Regarding Walls.

• Part 1,
  Mankind lives within three layers of Walls.
  The most outer layer is Wall Maria
  The next layer is Wall Rose.
  The layer protecting the center is Wall Sina.
• Part 2,
  The distances between the walls are nearly identical.
  There’s 100km between the Maria and Rose.
  130 km between Rose and Sina.
  250 km between Sina and the center.

Episode 2, Map of humankind.

• Part 1,
  This map (taken from the source material) illustartes sensuously the size of the human activity area.
  No information is available in regards to the exterior of Wall Maria.
• Part 2,
  The altitude of the human activity area grows higher as one nears the center.
  The area is rich in water, minerals, natural gas and other resources

Episode 3, Multiaxial Mobility Gear Training.

• Part 1,
  Learning to use Multiaxial Mobility Gear is extremely difficult insofar as it requires the trainee to shift from a two-dimensional in a three-dimensional spatial awareness.
• Part 2,
  Multiaxial maneuvers require physical stamina, strong legs, excellent spatial awareness and the mental fortitude to avoid panic.

Episode 5, Fixed Artillery on the Walls.

• Part 1,
  Cannon were the main anti-Eotena(Titan) Weaponry before the development of Multiaxial Mobility Gear.
  To compensate for their lack of mobility, the cannon were mounted atop the wall and modified to purpose.
• Part 2,
  Grapeshot: not very lethal, but can be effective at slowing don the Eotena’s movementes.
  Explosive rounds: highly lethal, but extremely low accuracy.
  Present serious targeting challenges to operators.

Episode 6, Ultra hardened Steel.

• Part 1,
  A strong and flexible metal that can cut through Eotena flesh.
  The single edged blades forged from this metal are widely-know anti-Eotena weapons.
• Part 2,
  The blast furnaces in industrial towns are indispensable to the smelting of ultra-hardened steel. Meaning that it can’t be produced anywhere else.

Episode 7, Design of the 3D Maneuver Gear.

• Part 1,
  (The spatial maneuver unit)
  It reels steel cables in from the drum.
  There are two independent axes.
• Part 2,
  The control unit is a black box.
  The engineering departement designs and improves it in secret.
  The cylinder is filled with compresses gas.
• Part 3, (Reveals on Episode 8)
  The fan unit.
  The gas is blown onto the fans to make them spin.
  Output power is controlled by the gas pressure.

Episode 9, The Modern Reconnaissance Legion.

• Part 1,
  The function of Reconnaissance Legion is to sortie beyond the wall, but its duties have changed since the fall of Wall Maria.
• Part 2,
  Following the wall’s fall the Legion’s mission is to establish an outpost for the future reclamation of Wall Maria and to create an incursion route for the invasion force.

Episode 10, Yeast.

• Part 1,
  A special kind of yeast can be found only in the area encircled by wall Sina.
  Leaving this yeast in storehouses of fodder, grain or beans can be greatly extend the time it takes for the crops to spoil.
• Part 2,
  Building storages facilities equipped with this yeast all over the area has been mankind’s main strategy for accumulating the supplies needed to retake Wall Maria.

Episode 11, 3D Maneuver Gear Weight-Shifting Device.

• Part 1,
  To maneuver in 3D space, it’s necessary to be able to shift one’s weight precisely, using belts strung all over the body.
• Part 2,
  To allow quick maneuvers in 3D space, the equipment has been made as light as possible.

Episode 12, Body-Weight control equipment of the 3DMG.

• Part 1,
  Body weight will be held by one side of the waist at all times.
  Even when a soldier appears to be dancing lighlty in the air, they are actually using all the muscles in their bodied to the limit.
• Part 2,
  For that reason, sometimes instructors will cut the safety ropes to see how the cadets react.
  It would be hard to call such training safe, but those who die are not fit to stand against the Titans anyway.
