The wise move when THQ shareholders started selling the company’s stock because of poor Homefront reviews would have been to buy shares immediately, as it will definitely bounce back. Many reasons to do so, but the main one is Homefront’s success.
The game’s already sold well past 1 million units according to publisher and IP owner THQ, but even better, they’ve shipped 2.6 million worldwide, with retailers constantly requesting more copies for stock.
Last night’s 14th Annual Interactive Achievement Awards, (also known as the DICE awards) saw popular and best selling game Mass Effect 2 take home some of the most sort after awards. It won Game of The Year, Outstanding Achievement Of Story, and Best RPG.
Red Dead Redemption, however, ended up with more wins, stealing Action Game of the Year and Outstanding Character Performance, along with Outstanding Achievement in Game Direction, Art Direction and Gameplay Engineering.

Yes, you’ve played it, played it again, and again and again. There’s a reason for that, mind you. It’s because Red Dead Redemption’s one of this generation’s best titles; so much so that it was honored with the much coveted Game of The Year award last Saturday at the VGAs.
But that’s not all, it’s also one of this year’s best selling games, and according to Rockstar, “nearly 8 million units worldwide since launching in May.”
