Top 5 – Xbox 360 (Console) Exclusives

Last week we saw the best exclusive games that the Playstation 3 has to offer, so now it’s time to see if Microsoft can match Sony with it’s exclusive titles. While some of these games are also available on the PC/Mac, if you want to play them on a console then the Xbox 360 is the platform to own.

The Playstaion 3 has an impressive lineup of exclusive titles. This is great for Playstaion 3 owners but made my life extremely difficult when I had to pick just 5 to include is this weeks top 5. I managed it though, so here is Games Thirst’s top 5 Playstation 3 exclusive games.

Microsoft Opens Brand New First-Party Studio For “Core” Games

One of the biggest problems gamers have with Microsoft is that the company relies too heavily on multiplatform games, and haven’t done enough to boost its first-party lineup. Seems like Redmond is taking a step in the right direction, as they’ve created a brand new first-party game development studio, one that will be responsible for developing “core” games.

Agony: Sony’s Seventh Generation PlayStation Story

Inside Sony Japan, where most massive company decisions are made, the mood must have been joyful when it was time to release PS3: “Guys we have no competition!” PlayStation father Ken Kutaragi must have proclaimed. “PS2 is the most successful console ever made, and with over 130 million (at the time) sold, the PS3 will have even more success!” I imagine he didn’t stop there either, with his confidence beaming, and Sony wanting to once again put out the most compelling machine they’d ever forged, all sorts of technology must have been considered, and although price would’ve definitely be an issue, Sony wasn’t afraid.

“They’ll buy it!” I could hear Hirai siding with Kutaragi, “it’s PlayStation, damn it! Look at how many PS2s were sold!” Things were getting a bit touchy though, price range had shot up from $399 to now $599 and some execs were perturbed. “Are we showing too much confidence in our userbase?” Another thought to himself, yet he failed to utter the thing, since the two big dogs in the room held all the say. So Blu-Ray was implemented, OtherOS, Cell Technology – and the final product was a massive technological accomplishment, but one that came with a great price.

PS3 Owners Are Happier Than The Xbox 360 Crowd

by Ernice Gilbert on January 11th, 2011, under Articles, Feature, Hot, Microsoft, Sony

When you’ve been around something for a while, you get the sense of what’s going on with it. Whether it’s a good situation or nasty one, because of its familiarity to you, there are certain answers you’d be able to give without stuttering. For example, if you told me that my wife was a talkative girl, I’d call you a boldface liar because the woman’s hardly ever running her mouth. On the other hand, if you told me she’s somewhat feisty, I’d agree with you wholeheartedly. It’s a no-brainer really, you get to know to an extent, the things and people you hang around.

I’m sure you’re saying to yourself ‘where the hell is he going with this’ and to that question, I’ll answer, to the truth.

Ten Xbox 360 Exclusives For Dirt Cheap

by Ernice Gilbert on July 13th, 2010, under News, Xbox 360

Unlike the guy who stole his brother’s PS3 because of his stinginess, you’re a rather easygoing, free handed type of fella. “Money comes and it goes”, is the position who’ve taken, and throughout life, it’s done you well.

I mean, look at you: you own your own house because you weren’t afraid to take a chance. Your home is well furnished, your wife enjoys life because you take great care of her, and your children go to the best schools. You’ve made it, yet you’re as humble as they get.
