Namco Says It’ll Continue To “Focus” On Enslaved
Enslaved has been nominated for an Ivor Novello award, which are presented every year “to celebrate, honor and reward excellence in British and Irish songwriting and composing.” The game didn’t do well at retail. In fact it might have failed to pass the 500,000 sold mark. But Namco believes that was the cause of poor marketing, and in light of its nomination, the publisher said it’ll continue to “focus” on the action-adventure title.
Enslaved Failed Because Of Bad Timing, Sequel Might Happen
According to Namco Bandai, the reason Enslaved: Odyssey To The West failed to sell less than 500,000 copies is because it was released at the worst possible time. The publisher also left room for a sequel.
Enslaved Now Being Sold For Dirt Cheap On Amazon
This is not the way I thought it would end. But hey, it benefits you the gamer, because today you’ll be able to purchase Enslaved: Odyssey To The West on Amazon.com for only $25.
Yeah, you’d think the game would be doing so well that it’d at least maintain $50 for a few months.
“We Made Most Of Our Mistakes On Heavenly Sword,” Says Ninja Theory
Ninja Theory must be excited about the prospects of their new game. Enslaved: Odyssey To The West hits the U.S. tomorrow and Europe on the 8th of this month, and I can’t begin to imagine how twisted they must feel: Excited and Nervous.
Those mixed emotions are not a result of the lack of development skills, however, because according to studio boss Tameem Antoniades, they’ve been battle scarred and “hardened”. According to him, they “made most of the mistakes [they] had to make during Heavenly Sword”.
Enslaved: Odyssey To The West Reviews Go Live – The Full Quencher
Enslaved’s coming out on October 5th in the U.S. and on the 8th in Europe. You know you want the game but should you buy it, or spend a few bucks on a rent instead? Let’s hear what the reviews have to say past the break.
Ninja Theory Boss Doesn’t Want To Insult Naughty Dog — Good Move
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves was released in October of last year. Since then, the game has become a standard developers strive to attain when making their games. It’s quintessentially the best action-adventure title ever forged, and one that’s highly praised within and without the gaming industry.
Ninja Theory has developed a game called Enslaved: Odyssey To The West, one we think holds promise, and will do well if the final results mesh up with our experience with the demo.
We’ve also covered the title incessantly, from every trailer released, to the informative dev diaries — we actually think Ninja Theory has a hit on its hands. There has been some confusion, however, concerning word misinterpretation over Uncharted 2′s animation. Apparently, according to Spong, studio co-founder Tameem Antoniades said last night at a BAFTA presentation that Uncharted 2′s animation “overdoes itself.” The news spread across gaming’s web like kerosene on a fire trail, damaging, with gamers yelling violent words at the developer.
Video Thirst: New Enslaved Dev Diary Is Very Informative
Ninja Theory’s Enslaved: Odyssey To The West is almost here, and from what we’ve seen thus far, it’s looking like a winner.
We’ve been very much impressed, honestly, especially at how beautiful it looks and how good it plays. But maybe you’re yet to be convinced because you’re not the type to be easily swayed, that’s understandable.
So in an effort to swing your vote its way, the developer’s released another dev diary, one dubbed ‘Behind The Game: Part One’, and in it, helpful information’s relayed.
Video Thirst: 15 Minutes Of Unadulterated Enslaved Gameplay Footage
Are you thirsty? Good. Lots of Water for you past the break. Some are still not convinced that Ninja Theory’s latest title’s worth a buy, but after watching the full thing, I must say my mind’s made up. Yours will too.
WARNING: DON’T DRINK IF YOU’RE FASTING UNTIL THE GAME’S RELEASED.
Enslaved Demo Now Available On Xbox Live
PS3 owners have already enjoyed Enslaved: Odyssey To The West demo that’s been available on PSN for a while, and finally, according to Namco Bandai, it’s available on Xbox Live.
New Enslaved Odyssey To The West Trailer’s Good
Ninja Theory might have done a bad job with Dante, according to the game’s fans, but its latest effort, Enslaved: Odyssey To The West is shaping to be one of this year’s most promising titles.
A new trailer, showing off Monkey and Trip’s journey, abilities and encounters as they journey to the West is past the break.
Enslaved: Odyssey To The West Demo Impressions
We’ve covered Ninja Theory’s Enslaved: Odyssey To The West incessantly here, and we intend to continue doing exactly that up until the game’s release. Enslaved sparked our curiosity from the first time it was shown, especially when the developer said it was “as beautiful as Uncharted”.
I played the demo on Saturday morning, and although it wasn’t the longest, I must say I had a very good time with it.
My impressions past the break.
US PS Store Update Comes Tonight Due To Maintenance, Enslaved Demo Available
I’m sure many of you are just waiting to get your hands on the Enslaved demo that Europe’s been enjoying since last week, and since you are well behaved gamers, who do not participate in the trickery of technology, tonight’s your chance to grab Enslaved off the US PS Store.
It was originally scheduled to hit the Store tomorrow with the regular update, but Sony’s taking it down for maintenance, and so they’re updating a day earlier.
In This New Enslaved Dev Diary, Proof The End Of Time Can Be Beautiful
