I must admit that these headsets look pretty sweet, they’re on point on the style and comfort side of things. But are they more functional and offer the same or better 3D sound positioning as the established headphone brands (i.e. Tritton or TurtleBeach)?

the best thing about these is the comfort, ive had 1000 dollar headsets which are less comfortable then these!
i really wish i did not sell these and get the MDR-DS6500s!
there 200 bucks more, less comfortable and sound no where near as good!
the audio quality in them is not as good as the trittons or astros or turtle beaches, but there allot cheaper, and a hell of allot more comfortable!
i just wish they were cheaper here, its ridiculous you can pick them up in the states for 60 bucks but here there 150!
dunno if there really worth that much.
50 bucks more and you can get the PX5s which yea are less comfortable, but sound SOOOOOOOOO much better!
i just wish MLG would stop this nonsense and allow the astro A40s to be sold here!
there so expensive because of the import hikes, buying them here they ay they would only be 240.
ah, one can dream………

Great review and very accurate from my experience with them. I did not realize the USB piece cannot be replace solely, good to know.

I’ve only had these for 24 hours and I can already tell that this was probably the best investment I made for $80.00

i use these for my 3d gaming experience and the surround sound is really good.i totally agree with ur review… the leather finish feels very comfortable around the ears
