Amidst Visuals Controversy, Watch Dogs Minimum PC Specs Revealed

Watch Dogs, the dogged game from Ubisoft has seen its days of trouble. First the title, highly-anticipated, was delayed, then someone trolled Ubisoft by somehow forging the publisher CEO’s signature, and asking the FCC to forego the game’s trademark immediately. In recent times, the game’s visuals have been under fire from fans who claim that there’s been a huge downgrade from the open-world title’s E3 2012 reveal, something Ubisoft has vigorously denied.

Below, you’ll find the trailer causing all the “pain”. Compared this this E3 212 trailer, there does seem to be some kind of degradation, but Ubisoft claims that there’s been no such occurrence, and that said notion is absurd.

Now onto the game’s minimum PC specs. Posting on Twitter last week, the game’s creative director Jonathan Morin said that the following specs are official and direct from the development team.

CPU: IntelCore 2 Quad Q8400 2.66Ghz or AMDPhenom II X4 940 3.0Ghz
Memory: 6GB RAM
Video Card: 1024 VRAM DirectX 11 Shader 5.0
Sound Card: DirectX9
Hard Disk: 25 GB

Did you plan on buying Watch Dogs? I have to say that it’s one of the titles that I’ve definitely been watching closely, but with the recent talks of downgrade, I’ll wait until Ubisoft releases more assets before making a decision. It comes out on May 27th.
