Sony’s sent live a new PS4 firmware update, one that’s mandatory, too, which means you must update the console before you attempt to use it the next time.
The update will provide “general enhancements to the console’s stability,” PlayStation Europe community manager Chris Owen tweeted this morning.
So turn it on, queue download, put the console on standby and go about your day. When you get back home you should be ready to play.
