Microsoft’s Xbox One sales will not please investors and fans alike, according to a NeoGAF insider named Pete Dodd, who has been correct on virtually all his leaks.
Speaking via twitter, Dodd, who became famous for spearheading the #PS4NODRM campaign, said that the bad news will be twofold for Microsoft, as Sony’s new console performed really well and Xbox One really bad.
@icongrist Both. Sony had a strong January. Microsoft had a weak one. Combine that and it’s oh shit time for MS.

Dodd also said that February isn’t looking good for Xbox One, either, especially as Sony will launch the PS4 in Japan on February 22nd, an event that’s sure to widen the console’s worldwide sales lead.
It’ll be an interesting year of gaming as the war (yes, it’s a literal war for your living room that’s being waged between Microsoft and Sony) continues.
Microsoft is expecting a big Xbox One sales boost once Titanfall is released in March, but said game is also coming to Xbox 360 and PC, so we don’t know for sure how big of an effect Respawn Entertainment’s new game will have on Xbox One sales.
