Microsoft will send live a major Xbox One update in March, most likely before the release of Respawn’s Titanfall, that will attempt to fix a lot of the console’s problems, most of them related to Xbox Live.
The company will also release a retail version of the White Xbox One units that were an employee exclusive at launch. But there’s more: The company will release an Xbox One without a Blu-ray disc-drive, which means games will only be bought and played digitally, and the company also plans on releasing a host of Halo games on Xbox One, including Halo 2.
All this comes to us by way of NeoGAF, through a new, verified leak-star with the moniker ntkrnl. Apparently The Verge has also confirmed to be true a lot of this new user’s leaks, more pointedly those pertaining to the Xbox Live update, a white retail Xbox One, and that, in fact, Microsoft is currently testing a version of Xbox One that does not include a Blu-ray disc drive.
Take all this with a grain of salt but there seems to be legit stuff in there.
