Microsoft’s Games with Gold, an answer to Sony’s successful PS Plus service, has been made permanent thanks to, uh, competition!
Yes indeed, just like PS Plus, Microsoft’s Games with Gold is now a permanent service on Xbox Live, where Gold members, just like PS Plus members, will be treated with free games and other goodies, including exclusive privileges.
The real question is, however, will Microsoft be able to match Sony’s extravagant offerings? Overtime, I’m sure they will. But just one look at this month’s upcoming PS Plus content, and you’ll see the uphill battle Microsoft has on its hand. Still, this is excellent news for Xbox Live Gold subscribers.
The game currently being offered on Games with Gold is Halo 3. Not a bad offer at all!
