Microsoft announced real names can’t be used at launch

Feature revealed with console, said to be there at launch, but now postponed.

Microsoft announced that another feature promised for the console’s launch, the use of real names for Gamertags, won’t be available at launch.

A Microsoft spokesperson replied to Kotaku, and the statement reads:

“While real identities continue to be part of our plans for the experience on Xbox One, at launch, customers will continue to search for friends using their Gamertags. Our teams are working hard to deliver a quality experience for Xbox One. This means prioritizing some features and sometimes postponing others for a later update.”

Were you looking forward to using your real name? I know I will, on both PS4 and Xbox One.
