Tom Clancy dead at 66

Famous military writer passed away yesterday.

Tom Clancy’s publisher confirms to the NYT that he died last night in a hospital in Baltimore.

And this is how the world finds out that Tom Clancy, the brilliant mind behind works like The Hunt for Red October, Red Storm Rising, and many video games based on his work like Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six, Splinter Cell and EndWar.

This is unexpected, and greatly saddening to say the least. At a relatively young age for today’s averages, Tom Clancy passes away. May he find peace, and he should know the gaming community is very thankful of his contributions. Our condolences go to his family.
